Gufo is out of Floy (Petionville), who raced only once. Her earlier son Hogy (Offlee Wild) was a multiple Graded winner in the US, taking three Grade 3 races, and stakes-placed in Canada; he won 19 times and was placed on 20 further occasions. Three of Floy's half-siblings won, among them Fist Of Rage (Consolidator), who won four times.

Second dam Risen Miss (Peteski) won four races.

Third dam Eddie's Star (Risen Star) was unplaced and has three winners, among them Risen Miss. She is a half-sister to General Royal (AP Indy), a Grade 3 winner in the US, and to Fortunate Facts (Sir Ivor), a Listed winner in the US.

Floy has a yearling filly by Preservationist named Poet. She was barren to Hard Spun for 2022 and has since been covered by Hard Spun and Oscar Performance.
