Mullikin is out of Tulira's Star (Congrats), a three-time winner who was graded stakes-placed when third in the Grade 3 Schuylerville Stakes in 2014, and is a half-brother to two winners.

The second dam Tulira (General Assembly) won once at three and has produced eight winners, among them Mountain General (Mountain Cat), a Grade 3 winner who was Grade 2-placed, and Tulira Castle (War Pass), winner of the Listed Challenger Stakes.

The third dam Unconscious Doll (Unconscious) won the Listed Regret Stakes and produced five winners, among them the dual winner Capestele (State Dinner), who was Listed-placed.

Mullikin is the first Grade 1 winner in his female line since an unraced daughter of his third dam produced Storm Tower (Irish Tower), winner of the Wood Memorial Invitational Stakes, then a Grade 1, in 1993. The family goes back directly to Lady Minting, who was imported to the US.

Tulira's Star has a 2-year-old filly by McKinzie, a yearling colt by Maxfield and a colt foal by Liam's Map, and was covered by Forte for 2025.
