Angel Bleu is the elder of the two foals of Cercle de la Vie (Galileo), a full sister to the multiple Group 1 winner and sire Highland Reel.

Second dam Hveger (Danehill) was second in the Gr.2 South Australian Oaks. Besides Highland Reel she produced three more full siblings to the dam: Cape of Good Hope, winner of the Gr.1 Caulfield Stakes, Idaho, who won the Gr.2 Great Voltigeur Stakes and the Gr.2 Hardwicke Stakes and was placed in several Group 1 races, and Nobel Prize, winner of the Gr.3 Ballysax Stakes.

Third dam Circles of Gold (Marscay) won the Gr.1 Australian Oaks and bred two multiple Group 1-winning champions in Australia, Elvstroem (Danehill) and Haradasun (Fusaichi Pegasus).

Circles of Gold is the best runner out of Olympic Aim (Zamazaan), whose descendants also include the multiple Group 1-winning sire Starspangledbanner (Choisir) and Amicus (Fastnet Rock), winner of the Gr.1 Schweppes Thousand Guineas.
