Scorthy Champ is out of Fidaaha (New Approach), three of whose first four foals are Group winners. They include his full-sister Malavath, winner of the Gr.2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte and the Gr.3 Prix Imprudence and second in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf and the Gr.1 Prix de la Foret, and his full-brother Knight, winner of the Gr.3 Horris Hill Stakes and second in the Gr.2 Celebration Mile.

Second dam Ceist Eile (Noverre), who was placed, is also the dam of Ceisteach, a full sibling to Fidaaha and winner of the Grade 3 Robert G. Dick Memorial Stakes in the US, and of Steip Amach (Vocalised), a dual Group 3 winner who was twice Group 1-placed, including in the Gr.1 Prix Rothschild.

Third dam Sharafanya (Zafonic) was unraced.

This is also the family of Giant Sandman (Footstepsinthesand), a Group 2 winner in Germany, Shalanaya (Lomitas), winner of the Gr.1 Prix de l'Opera, and Shankardeh (Azamour), winner of the Gr.2 Prix Chaudenay and placed in the Gr.1 Prix Royal-Oak.
