Kingswood is the fourth foal out of All At Sea (Sea The Stars), a three-time Listed winner. She has bred two other winners: his year-older half-brother Eldar Eldarov (Dubawi), champion three-year-old stayer in Europe, winner of the Gr.1 St Leger and the Gr.1 Irish St Leger and a sire, and A La Voile (Invincible Spirit), who won three races and was Listed-placed.

Second dam Albanova (Alzao) was a champion and won three Group 1 races: the Gr.1 Preis von Europa, the Gr.1 Deutschland-Preis in Düsseldorf and the Gr.1 Rheinland-Pokal in Cologne. Her full sister Alborada was champion three-year-old filly in Ireland in 1998 and twice won the Gr.1 Champion Stakes. Albanova has nine winners in all, four of them stakes winners, led by the Group 3 winner Algometer (Archipenko), the Listed winner in Germany Alwilda (Hernando), the winner of the Listed Stand Cup Stakes Alignak (Sea The Moon) and Albamara (Galileo), a juvenile winner placed three times at Listed level.

Third dam Alouette (Darshaan) won the Listed Oyster Stakes and has seven other winners, including Alma Meter (Sadler's Wells), winner of the Listed Prix Belle de Nuit.

Alwilda is the dam of Alpinista (Frankel), a champion and six-time Group 1 winner whose wins include the Gr.1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, and of Alpenblume (Kendargent), winner of the Listed Sparkasse Holstein Cup. Albamara produced Alalcance (Mastercraftsman), a dual Group 2 winner in Australia whose wins include the Gr.2 Brisbane Cup.
