Potager is out of Ginger Punch (Awesome Again), a six-time Grade 1 winner and champion older mare in the US in 2007. He is one of five Japanese winners out of the mare, and the best of his siblings is Rouge Buck (Manhattan Cafe), who won two Group 2 races and a Group 3 and was second in the Gr.1 Yushun Himba. Ginger Punch's half-siblings include two minor US winners and an unraced mare who produced a pair of South American stakes winners.

Second dam Nappelon (Bold Revenue) won the Grade 2 Comely Stakes and the Listed Owner's Day Dash Handicap and was placed nine times in stakes races. She is a half-sister to Oriental Sal (Far Out East), third in the Natalma Stakes, then a Grade 3.

Third dam Sally Go Gray (Wise Exchange) was unraced.
