Haya Zark is out of Haya City (Elusive City), who raced only lightly. He is her second foal of three and so far her only winner. His dam is a half-sister to Haya Landa (Lando), a winner over 2000m who was placed in the Gr.1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and the Gr.2 Grand Prix de Chantilly and finished fourth in the Gr.1 Prix de Diane and, in 2012, the Gr.1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Another half-sister, Haya Of Fortune (Soldier Of Fortune), won four races and was Listed-placed.

Second dam Haya Samma (Pivotal) was unraced. She is a half-sister to Gin Jockey (Soviet Star), an eight-time winner who was placed at Group 3 level.

Third dam Singing Lark (Pampabird) is a full sister to Subotica.

Fourth dam Terre De Feu (Busted) is the dam of Subotica (Pampabird), winner of the Gr.1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, the Gr.1 Grand Prix de Paris and, in 1992, the Gr.1 Prix Ganay, and later a sire.

Haya City's yearling is a colt by Anodin called Haya Gold.
