Vekoma is out of Mona de Momma (Speightstown), who beat the champion Informed Decision in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff Handicap in 2010. He is one of her two runners, alongside Bloody Point (War Front), a winner of three of her six starts, and he is her last recorded foal; she also has the unraced L'Age d'Or (Medaglia d'Oro).

Second dam Society Gal (Linkage) was unplaced and is a half-sister to Mr. Greeley (Gone West), second in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Sprint, and to the stakes winner Majestic Legend (His Majesty), whose daughter Bedazzle (Dixieland Band) produced the champion Street Sense (Street Cry), winner of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile and the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby.

Third dam Long Legend (Reviewer).

This is also the family of Paradise Woods (Union Rags), a multiple Grade 1 winner.
