Pennyweka is out of the unraced Threepence (Pentire), whose other two runners have also won: Lord Bouzeron (Burgundy), a multiple metropolitan winner in South Australia, and Albaron (Burgundy), who has won over jumps as well as on the Flat. Her half-siblings include Titch (Lord Ballina), winner of the Gr.1 Auckland Cup and of 17 further races, as well as Soph (Lord Ballina), third in the Gr.3 Canterbury Gold Cup, and Streets Away (Street Cry), Listed-placed, with 10 and 11 wins respectively.

Second dam Our Sophie (Kaapstad) is the dam of Titch (Lord Ballina), the Gr.1 Auckland Cup winner, and of the stakes-placed Soph and Streets Away.

Third dam Skip (English Harbour) is a half-sister to Kip (Forty Winks), winner of the Gr.1 Australian Cup, and to Boktisan (Roi Lear), who took the Gr.3 South Australian St Leger.

Threepence has a colt by Time Test born in 2020 and was due to foal to the same sire last spring.
