Barney Roy is out of Alina (Galileo). He was her first foal, and three of her five foals have won. A half-sibling, Wisdom Mind (Dark Angel), finished second in the Listed Maggie Dickson Gold Cup.

Second dam Cheyenne Star (Mujahid) won the Gr.3 Ridgewood Pearl Stakes and the Gr.3 Brownstown Stud Stakes.

Third dam Charita (Lycius) won the Listed Garnet Stakes and is a half-sister to the Group winner Stanott (Mukaddamah), second in the Gr.1 Premio Vittorio di Capua. Her descendants include the multiple Group 1-winning sprinter Gordon Lord Byron (Byron) and Sparkle'n Joy (Sepoy), winner of the Listed Ingabelle Stakes.

This is also the family of Capote (Seattle Slew), champion in the US and winner of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile, and of the sire Exceller (Vaguely Noble), winner of the Gr.1 Prix Royal-Oak.

Alina has the 2-year-old colt Noble Dynasty (Dubawi), placed once so far.
