Erdenali is the first foal and so far only runner out of Erdana (Sea The Stars), who failed to win in three starts in France.

Second dam Ervedya (Siyouni) won the Gr.1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches, the Gr.1 Coronation Stakes and the Gr.1 Prix du Moulin in 2015. Erdana is her first foal, and she is also the dam of Erevann (Dubawi), her only winner from two runners, a dual group winner who took the Gr.2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein, was placed in the Gr.1 Prix Jacques Le Marois and now stands as a sire.

Third dam Elva (King's Best) won twice, was second in the Gr.3 Prix Vanteaux and bred five winners. They include Elennga (Exceed And Excel), Listed-placed in Germany and dam of Elbaz, a dual winner in France who was twice Listed-placed.

Erdana has the unraced 2-year-old colt Erdelann (Zarak) and a colt foal by Night Of Thunder.
