Tribhuvan is the leading runner from Mahendra (Next Desert), who never raced, and the sixth of her seven foals. She is also the dam of the Group 3-placed chaser Ibleo (Dick Turpin), the Listed-placed hurdler Val De Saane (Rock Of Gibraltar) and the winners on the Flat Athansor (Lope De Vega) and Princess Of Snow (Rajsaman). Mahendra's half-siblings include Montclair (Montjeu), a staying Group 3 winner in France who was placed in several stakes races in the US, and Macleya (Winged Love), a dual Group winner and Group 1-placed in France.

Second dam Minaccia (Platini) won two Listed races in Germany and has produced nine winners from 12 foals. They are headed by Macleya, dam of Saltonstall (Pivotal), a Listed winner in Ireland, and Montclair, followed by the Listed-placed Macassar (Tertullian), Mahnaz (Dansili), dam of the Listed winner Mer Et Nuages, and Miramare (Rainbow Quest), dam of Mare Australis (Australia), a highweight in France and winner of the Gr.1 Prix Ganay. Minaccia is a half-sister to the Listed winners Mendosino (Acatenango) and Malinda (Law Society).

Third dam Maji (Shareef Dancer) was a winner and produced five winners, three of them Listed winners including Minaccia.

The fourth dam is Majorität (Königsstuhl), a Classic winner in Germany and dam of the Group 2 winner and sire Malinas. She is the grandam of the German Classic winner Mystic Lips and the third dam of Eishin Flash, a Classic winner in Japan and later a sire.
