Geraldina is out of Gentildonna (Deep Impact), twice Horse of the Year and twice champion older mare in Japan, as well as champion 3-year-old filly, and a seven-time Group 1 winner. She won the Japanese Filly Triple Crown in 2012, the Gr.1 Japan Cup in 2012 and 2013, the Gr.1 Dubai Sheema Classic and the Gr.1 Arima Kinen in 2014. Gentildonna is also the dam of Marina Donna (Lord Kanaloa) and of the triple winner Moana Anela (King Kamehameha). Her half-sisters include Donau Blue (Deep Impact), a Group 3 winner placed at Group 1 level and dam of the dual Listed winner Donau Delta, placed at Group 2 level, and of the Listed-placed Istvan, as well as the Group 3-placed Donna Attraente (Deep Impact).

Second dam Donna Blini (Bertolini) won the Gr.1 Cheveley Park S. She is a half-sister to Magical, a Grade 3 winner in the US, and to the dam of Roger Barows (Deep Impact), a Group 1 winner who stands at stud in Japan.

Third dam Cal Norma's Lady (Lyphard's Special) won three races.

Gentildonna has an unraced 2-year-old colt by Lord Kanaloa, a yearling full-sister to Geraldina and was barren to Epiphaneia for 2022; she was covered by Epiphaneia again this year.
