Double Major is one of four winners out of Dancequest (Dansili), who won and was Listed-placed at three in France. She has also produced Flop Shot (New Approach), winner of the Gr.3 Prix de Guiche, and the Listed-placed Veritas (Camelot).

Second dam Featherquest (Rainbow Quest) was a winner and is a three-parts-sister to the Group 1 winner and leading sire Groom Dancer (Blushing Groom). Her daughter Plumania (Anabaa) won the Gr.1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and has four black-type performers, led by the sire Plumatic (Dubawi), successful in the Gr.2 Prix du Muguet, and including the Listed winner and sire Maniaco. Another daughter, Balladeuse (Singspiel), won the Prix de Royallieu, then a Group 2, and is the dam of Left Hand (Dubawi), who took the Gr.1 Prix Vermeille, of Aventure (Sea The Stars), winner of the Gr.2 Prix de Pomone and the Gr.3 Prix de Royaumont and second in the Gr.1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and the Gr.1 Prix Vermeille, of the Listed winner Bilissie and of Romanciere, third in the Gr.1 Prix Jean Romanet. Balladeuse is also second dam of First Look (Lope De Vega), runner-up in the Gr.1 Prix du Jockey Club. Featherquest is further the grandam of Rumi (Frankel), winner of the Gr.2 Prix de la Nonette, and of Solage (Galileo), a Listed winner in Ireland and dam of Opera Mundi, who won the Listed Prix Zeddaan.
