Paulele is out of Chatoyant (Flying Spur), who won four races, more than one of them in the city, and is the dam of seven winners. Her produce also includes Tessera (Medaglia d'Oro), winner of the Gr.3 Canonbury S., and Montsegur (New Approach), a three-parts sister to Paulele, winner of the Gr.3 Thoroughbred Breeders' S. and dam of the dual Group 3 winner Heresy (Street Boss), whose wins include the Gr.3 PJ Bell Stakes. Chatoyant is a half-sister to Bonaria (Redoute's Choice), winner of the Gr.1 Myer Classic, to Time Out (Rory's Jester), who took the Gr.3 Illawarra 2yo Classic Grange, and to Legally Bay (Snippets), winner of the Gr.3 Sweet Embrace Stakes and twice Group 1-placed. Legally Bay has bred three stakes winners, among them Merchant Navy (Fastnet Rock), a dual Group 1 winner whose wins include the Gr.1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes, and later a sire.
