El Bodegon is out of Al Andalyya (Kingmambo) and is a full-brother to Best Solution, champion stayer in Australia and a highweight older horse in Germany. Best Solution won the Gr.1 Caulfield Cup, the Gr.1 Grosser Preis von Baden and the Gr.1 Grosser Preis von Berlin, along with the Gr.2 Princess of Wales's S. and the Gr.3 Autumn S., and was also Group 1-placed in France.

Second dam Kushnarenkovo (Sadler's Wells) finished second in the Gr.3 Noblesse S. She has three black-type performers besides, the best of them Cape Clear Island (Fastnet Rock), second in the Gr.2 Prix Hocquart.

Third dam Eva Luna (Alleged). Kushnarenkovo is a full-sister to Brian Boru, winner of the Gr.1 Irish St Leger, and to the dam of Workforce (King's Best), who won the Gr.1 Epsom Derby and the Gr.1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and became a sire.
