Broome is out of Sweepstake (Acclamation), winner of the Listed National S. and placed in both the Gr.3 Princess Margaret S. and the Grade 3 Appalachian S. in the US.

Second dam Dust Flicker (Suave Dancer).

Sweepstake is a granddaughter of Galaxie Dust (Blushing Groom), the foundation mare of Hesmonds Stud. Her descendants include Dust Dancer, winner of the Gr.3 Prix de la Nonette, who bred Spotlight (Dr Fong), winner of the Grade 2 Lake Placid H. Spotlight in turn produced Projection (Acclamation), winner of the Gr.3 Bengough S., and the dam of Berkshire Rocco (Sir Percy), second in the Gr.1 St Leger. Dust Dancer is also second dam of the sire Zoffany, a Gr.1 Phoenix S. winner, and of his half-brother Rostropovich (Frankel), who won the Gr.2 Futurity S. and was placed in the Gr.1 Irish Derby. The same family holds Bulaxie (Bustino), winner of the Gr.3 Fred Darling S., dam of Claxon (Caerleon), who took the Gr.2 Premio Lydia Tesio and produced Cassydora (Darshaan), winner of the Grade 3 Hillsborough S. and second in the Gr.1 Nassau S.

Sweepstake has a yearling filly by Lope de Vega.
