Life Is Good is out of Beach Walk (Distorted Humor), who was placed four times from five starts without winning. He is the second of her foals to race and her second winner.

The second dam Bonnie Blue Flag (Mineshaft) was a Listed winner and twice placed at Grade 1 level, including second in the Grade 1 Test Stakes in 2010. From four runners she has produced the nine-time winner Tony Small (Distorted Humor) and the seven-time winner Will Did It (Medaglia D'Oro).

The third dam Tap Your Feet (Dixieland Band) was a Listed winner and produced four further winners, among them Diamondrella (Rock of Gibraltar), a multiple Grade 1 winner whose successes include the Grade 1 Just A Game Stakes and the Grade 1 First Lady Stakes, and Highest Honors (Tapit), winner of the Listed Curlin Stakes. Diamondrella is the dam of Spectroscope, a Group 3 winner in Australia.

Tap Your Feet also produced the unraced Polish A Diamond (The Factor), dam of the US stakes winner Lemieux and of Brilliant Cut, second in the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes, and the unraced Scarlet Slipper (Red Ransom), dam of Nikkis Smartypants, a Grade 3 winner in Canada.

Beach Walk has a 2-year-old filly by Blame named Living Good, a yearling colt by Candy Ride and a colt foal who is a full brother to Life Is Good. She was covered again by Into Mischief.
