Cody's Wish is out of Dance Card (Tapit), who won the Gazelle S., then a Grade 1, in 2012 and was third in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint in 2013. She is also the dam of the multiple graded winner Endorsed (Medaglia d'Oro), successful at Grade 2 and Grade 3 level, and of Bocephus (Medaglia d'Oro), placed in a restricted stakes race. Dance Card is a full sister to three other winners, among them the Grade 2-placed Tempted To Tapit.

Second dam Tempting Note (Editor's Note) was stakes-placed and produced four winners from nine foals.

Third dam Tempt (Devil's Bag) ran only a few times and bred seven winners, with Tempting Note the best of them.

Dance Card's two-year-old colt Hunt Ball (Into Mischief) has been placed in both his starts. She also has a yearling filly by Street Sense and a weanling filly by Gun Runner, and has been covered by Curlin for a full sibling to Cody's Wish in 2024.
