Poptronic is out of Alpine Dream (Dream Ahead), who won handicaps over 6f and 7 1/2f, and is the first of her four foals. Her younger half-sister Beautron (Brazen Beau) won a 6f handicap at Carlisle at three.

Second dam Infamous Angel (Exceed And Excel) won twice, including the Gr.2 Lowther Stakes, and is the best runner out of her dam. She has five other winners, the best of them Royal Grey (Havana Grey), who won at Listed level in Italy at two and also finished second in the Listed Premio Mario & Vittorio Crespi.

Third dam Evangeline (Sadler's Wells) was unraced and produced three other winners. A half-sister to Sgt Pepper (Fasliyev), winner of the Listed Stonehenge Stakes, she is a granddaughter of Libertine (Hello Gorgeous), who won the Gr.2 Premio Federico Tesio.

Coming through behind Poptronic are a yearling filly by New Bay and a filly foal by Zoustar.
