Goliath is out of the Listed winner Gouache (Shamardal), who won her black-type race in Germany and has produced four winners. Gouache is a half-sister to the triple Group winner Guardini (Dalakhani), whose successes include the Gr.2 Gerling-Preis, and to Guizot (Tertullian), a Listed winner in Australia.

Second dam Guantana (Dynaformer) won two Listed races in Germany, was placed at Gr.3 level and has produced five winners.

Third dam Guadalupe (Monsun) won the Oaks d'Italia, then a Group 1, was a champion and became a Broodmare of the Year. Among her seven winners are the Group 1 winners Guignol (Cape Cross) and Guiliani (Tertullian), both sires. She is a full sister to Getaway (Monsun), a dual Group 1 winner in Germany who later stood as a jumps sire. She is also the ancestress of Gua Lipa (Cloth Of Stars), winner of the 2026 Gr.3 Diana Trial.

Fourth dam Guernica (Unfuwain) was unraced and produced four winners, among them Guadalupe, Getaway and Guadalajara (Acatenango), winner of the Listed Grand Prix de Lyon, Gr.2-placed and champion older staying mare in Britain in 2006. The family is also connected to the Gr.1 Gold Cup winner Royal Rebel (Robellino).

Gouache has an unraced 2-year-old filly by Blackbeard named Glory Of Legend and a yearling filly by Baaeed.
