Opera Singer is the 11th foal of Liscanna (Sadler's Wells), winner of the Gr.3 Ballyogan Stakes. Her four earlier stakes performers are all by War Front: Brave Anna, winner of the Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes and the Gr.3 Albany Stakes, Hit It A Bomb, who took the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf and was also a stakes winner and multiple Group-placed in Ireland, Border Town, an eight-time winner who was Grade 3-placed in the US, and Threeandfourpence, a five-time winner who was Listed-placed in Ireland.

Second dam Lahinch (Danehill Dancer) won two Listed races and was second in the Gr.2 Rockfel Stakes. Her four black-type performers include The Bogberry (Hawk Wing), winner of the Gr.3 Kilternan Stakes, twice placed at Group 2 level and later a sire, Ennistymon (Galileo), a winner at three and second in the Gr.1 Oaks, and Lahinch Classics (Galileo), a winner who was second in the Gr.2 Kilboy Estate Stakes and the dam of Grafton Street (War Front), runner-up in the Grade 1 Summer Stakes. Lahinch is a half-sister to the stakes winner Perugino Bay (Perugino), placed in the Gr.3 Greenham Stakes.

Third dam Dublah (Private Account) was unraced.

Liscanna's latest foal is a colt born this year, a full brother to Opera Singer.
