Nutella Fella is the second foal of the placed Krissy's Candy (Candy Ride), who raced three times, and both of her foals are winners: the other, Demain (More Than Ready), has been placed twice at Listed level in France. Krissy's Candy is a half-sister to Meal Penalty (Tale of the Cat), a Listed winner who was Grade 3-placed, and to Danny Boy (Harlan's Holiday), a winner at two who was also Grade 3-placed.

Second dam Unbridled Beauty (Unbridled's Song) won at two and was second in the Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes in 2003.

Third dam Dreamscape (Mt. Livermore) was unraced and is a full sister to the champion Housebuster, a multiple Grade 1 winner and later a sire. She produced Sophia's Song (Bellamy Road), a Listed winner who was Grade 3-placed and became the dam of Bright Future (Curlin), winner of the Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup, as well as the Listed winner Tax Refund (Artax). Two more daughters bred the Listed winner New Boss and Ironstone, a Grade 3 winner in Canada.

Her younger foals are a War of Will colt, now a yearling, and a colt foal by Yaupon, and she has been covered again by Uncle Mo.
