Ten Happy Rose is the best runner and the only winner out of Fatal Rose (Tanino Gimlet), a three-time winner who finished in the first three 13 times, several of them in local stakes races in Japan without black-type status. Fatal Rose is a half-sister to Primula Vulgaris (French Deputy), who won eight races and came close to earning black type. The mare's last registered foal is the unplaced 3-year-old Fatal Tour, a full-sister to Ten Happy Rose.

Second dam Primrose Eve (Sunday Silence) was a winner. She is a full-sister to Sundrop and to the three-time winner Primrose Lane, dam of the Group 3 winner Summer Scent.

Third dam Oenothera (Night Shift) won a Listed race in Germany and was Group 3-placed. She is a half-sister to Northern Spur (Sadler's Wells), champion turf horse in the US, winner of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Turf and later a sire. She is the dam of Sundrop (Sunday Silence), a dual Group 3 winner who was placed in several Group 1 races and second in the Gr.1 1000 Guineas and the Gr.1 Fillies' Mile. Sundrop in turn produced the Listed winners Storm Damage (Night Of Thunder), twice Group 2-placed, Nature's Colors and Whitman, and she is the grandam of Quiet Times, a Listed winner in France.

This is the extended family of Salsabil and of the sire Marju.
