Almaqam is out of Talmada (Cape Cross), winner of the Listed John Musker Stakes and second in the Grade 1 E. P. Taylor Stakes in Canada and the Gr.2 Middleton Stakes. Her son Saddadd (Pinatubo), a year younger, winner of the Gr.3 Gordon Richards Stakes and placed at Group 1 level in Ireland, finished third in this race, giving Talmada both the winner and the third-placed horse. Her only other winner is Saleymm (Dubawi), successful four times and placed twice at Listed level, in England and the UAE.

The second dam Aryaamm (Galileo) won once at three and has five other winners, among them Saamidd (Street Cry), winner of the Gr.2 Champagne Stakes and now a sire, and Masaarr (Distorted Humor), winner of the Listed Prix de Tourgeville.

The third dam is Zibilene (Rainbow Quest), a winner who was third in the Severals Stakes, then a Listed race. She produced five other winners, including Oracle (Danehill Dancer), a juvenile winner and third in the Gr.1 Irish 1,000 Guineas, and Mathematician (Machiavellian), a dual winner who was twice Group-placed and became a sire.

Talmada has a two-year-old filly by Dubawi named Tarrjoo and a yearling filly by Pinatubo.
