Giant Sequoia is out of Pink Dogwood (Camelot), who won the Salsabil Stakes, then a Listed race, in Ireland, was second in the Gr.1 Oaks at Epsom and was placed in the Gr.1 Irish Oaks and the Gr.1 Pretty Polly Stakes. He is her third foal and her first winner from three runners. Pink Dogwood is a full sister to Latrobe, a stallion who won the Gr.1 Irish Derby, and a half-sister to Diamond Fields (Fastnet Rock), winner of the Gladness Stakes, then a Group 3 race, and placed in the Grade 2 Sands Point Stakes and the Grade 2 Lake Placid Stakes in the US. Diamond Fields has since produced Aikhal (Galileo), a Group 3 winner.

Second damQuestion Times

Second dam Question Times (Shamardal), a winner who was Listed-placed, has produced eight winners, with Pink Dogwood, Latrobe and Diamond Fields the best of them.

Third damForever Times

Third dam Forever Times (So Factual) won six races and is the dam of four winners. One of them is Sunday Times (Holy Roman Emperor), winner of the Gr.3 Sceptre Stakes and runner-up in the Gr.1 Cheveley Park Stakes, who in turn produced Newspaperofrecord and is the grandam of Benvenuto Cellini.

Wider family

Further members of the family are Newspaperofrecord (Lope De Vega), winner of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf in the US, and Benvenuto Cellini (Frankel), who took this year's Gr.1 Irish Derby after finishing third in the Gr.1 Futurity Trophy Stakes in 2025.
