Citizen Bull is the only winner out of the unraced No Joke (Distorted Humor), a half-sister to the multiple Grade 1 winner Moonshine Memories (Malibu Moon), who took the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante Stakes and the Grade 1 Chandelier Stakes. Her other siblings include two sires, Indian Evening (Indian Charlie), a stakes winner in Canada placed at Grade 2 level in the US, and the Listed-placed Mo For The Money (Uncle Mo), as well as the winner Town Tour (Speightstown), dam of the multiple Grade 3 winner Souper Hoity Toity.

Second dam Unenchantedevening (Unbridled's Song) was a winner.

Third dam Evil Elaine (Medieval Man) won at Listed level and bred eight other winners. They are headed by the sire Favorite Trick (Phone Trick), Horse of the Year in 1997 and winner of the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile and the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes, and also include the stakes winner Cold N Calculating (It's Freezing) and the Grade 3-placed winner Tricky Elaine (Grindstone), dam of Favorite Tale, a Grade 2-winning sprinter twice placed at Grade 1 level.

Further back this is also the family of the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes winner Tiz The Law.

No Joke produced a colt by Mandaloun this year and has been covered by Life Is Good.
