Folsom Blues is out of the Group-placed Liwa Palace (Oasis Dream), third in the Gr.3 Premio Elena e Sergio Cumani. She is also the dam of Atlantic Coast (Kodiac), known as Cote Atlantique in Australia, winner of the Gr.3 Killavullan Stakes and placed in the Golden Fleece, then a Group 2, a Group winner in Ireland, a stakes winner in France and Australia and Group-placed in New Zealand, and of the three-year-old colt Greek Mythology (Pinatubo), twice placed at Listed level, including second in the Listed Surrey Stakes.

Second dam Ladeena (Dubai Millennium), a winner at three, bred two more winners, among them Atlantis Star (Cape Cross), third in the Listed Stardom Stakes. Her grandchildren include Lady Kermit (Starspangledbanner), third in the Listed Marygate Stakes, and of Frozen Juke (Frozen Power), a Listed winner in Italy.

Third dam Aqaarid (Nashwan) won the Gr.1 Fillies' Mile and the Gr.3 Fred Darling Stakes and was second in the Gr.1 1,000 Guineas. Two more of her foals won, and among her grandchildren are the Listed winners Rising Star (Fast Company) and Titus Mills (Dubawi).

The line goes back to the great producer Violetta III (Pinza), ancestress of the Classic winners Teenoso, Sir Percy, Rule Of Law, Give Thanks and Harayir.

Liwa Palace produced a full brother to Folsom Blues last year and died after foaling him.
